Where is God?

Bhagavāna uvāca:
nāham vasāmi vaikunthe
yogināma hŗdayena ca
madbhaktā yatra gāyanti
tatra tiśthāmi nārada

na – not, aham – I, vasāmi – reside in, vaikunthe – vaikuntha, yogināma – in yogis, hŗdayena – in the heart, ca – and, madbhaktā – my devotee, yatra – who, gāyanti – sings, tatra – there, tiśthāmi – situated, nārada – O nārada

Translation:
The Supreme Lord said:
O Nārada, I do not dwell in vaikuntha or in the heart of mystical yogis.
Know me to only dwell where my devotees sing my praise

Extended Translation:

O Nārada, I do not dwell in Vaikuntha or in the heart of mystical yogis [as even by severe penance one cannot grasp my true nature], Know me to only dwell where my devotees sing my praise [as they have realised my true self which eliminates all evils just by my name].
