Event: OCHS Friends Gala Dinner

Friends Gala Dinner
in aid of Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies

We are delighted to announce details of the Friends of OCHS Annual Dinner, which will be held at the City Rooms in Leicester on 19th November 2011.

The City Rooms, in the heart of Leicester City Centre, is a magnificent venue featuring a majestic Grand Ballroom, where our event will be held.

The evening will feature our special guest speaker, finance guru Alpesh Patel, musical entertainment and something that’s guaranteed to make you giggle – and yet another highlight will be the sumptuous full four-course vegetarian dinner served in this grand setting by the venue’s friendly staff. The standard of service and
attention to detail always stand out at the City Rooms, and perfectly compliment the sheer beauty of the setting.

Guest Speaker profile: Alpesh B. Patel
What Alpesh doesn’t know about finance is not worth knowing – he is one of the UK’s best known financial commentators and authors. Founder of http://www.investingbetter.com and the private equity firm, Praefinium Partners, he has also written over a dozen bestselling books on trading, and has been a regular columnist for the Financial Times newspaper, and presented the popular ‘CEO in the Hot Seat’ on Bloomberg television. If he looks familiar, it’s because he appears regularly on BBC radio and television, CNN, Sky Business News
and CNBC.

A Philosophy, Politics and Economics graduate of St. Anne’s College, Oxford, Alpesh also has a degree in Law from King’s College, London University and was a Visiting Fellow in Business and Industry, Corpus Christi College, Oxford University. Alpesh for the UK Government is a Dealmaker responsible for
